If you can’t go to the mountains, bring the mountains to you!

Now is the perfect time to plan a trip to the mountains. The hustle and bustle of the holidays have simmered down and the winter blues have started to settle in. There is nothing better than embracing the brisk winter weather, bundling up, and heading to the mountains to hit the slopes, or simply taking in the view with a warm drink.

It has been a few years since I have been to the mountains myself. There is one ski trip I took a few years ago that I remember vividly. I went with a group of friends to Colorado and planned on snowboarding for the first time in real snow. I had practiced at a place called Hidden Valley in St.Louis. Perched on a hill, covered in man-made snow/slush, I would ride the small lift to the top and glide down again and again.

We drove 13 hours to Colorado. Got all of our gear. Made it to the top of the lift for our first ride down and wouldn’t you know, I end up taking a tumble and unbeknownst to me, breaking my tibia. I rode all the way to the base of the run on my broken tibia. I tried for a second run, not wanting to end my ski trip early, but could hardly make it off the lift. Ever since then, I have stuck to skiing.

When you can't find time in your calendar (like myself) or room in your budget to make it to the mountains this year, why not opt for our mountain ridge metal wall art and bring the mountains to you?
